## Description

Scent Imprint Conservation Dogs provides specially trained wildlife detection dogs, along with handlers, trainers, education, training and consultation, to support conservation work. Based in Ens, the Netherlands, the organization works with government agencies, academic institutions, ecological consultancies, nature conservation organizations and private industries. Its mission is to help protect biodiversity and assist with conservation research and monitoring.

The organization’s services cover ecological monitoring and habitat analysis, including detecting rare and endangered species, locating animal scat and carcasses, matching scents to individual animals, and identifying how target species use their habitats. Its anti-poaching and wildlife contraband work includes trailing and tracker dogs that can follow poachers, identify ammunition at kill sites, and detect wildlife products such as ivory, rhino horn and pangolin scales, as well as live animals. Scent Imprint also trains dogs to detect and monitor invasive plant and animal species, including species listed by the European Union. Through these specialized detection services, the organization supports practical wildlife protection and research efforts.
