## Description

Stichting Autocross Basse is a regional motorsport organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting motorised sport through accessible events at Circuit Schapendrift in Basse. The circuit, owned by board members Tiemen and Klaas de Boer, has hosted The Battle of Basse on its fast sand track for more than 40 years. Since 2013, the current board has continued a tradition begun by their parents in 1982, working alongside a large team of volunteers.

The organisation stages autocross, grass-track racing, tractor pulling and cross-country events. Its 2026 calendar includes Cross Country Basse on 21 March, Trekkertrek Basse on 30 May and Autocross Basse on 20 September. The cross-country event offers an off-road challenge focused on skill and tactics, while the tractor-pulling event was established in response to requests from local farmers. The autocross is an independent event not affiliated with an umbrella organisation.

Circuit Schapendrift also has adjoining fields for event parking. Local sponsors support the programme by providing equipment, services, supplies and other practical assistance.
