## Description

ScheldeMonitor is a comprehensive Flemish-Dutch knowledge and information portal dedicated to research and monitoring of the Schelde estuary. Operated under the auspices of the Flemish-Dutch Schelde Commission (VNSC), this platform serves as the central hub for collecting and disseminating a wide variety of data related to both the Westerschelde and Zeeschelde regions. Users can access a rich repository of biotic and abiotic datasets through various tools, including the built-in data toolbox and RShiny applications.

The portal features an array of visualizations and spatial layers, enabling users to easily analyze and download critical data. Additionally, ScheldeMonitor houses an extensive library of scientific and non-scientific literature, in collaboration with the Integrated Marine Information System (IMIS). Researchers benefit from an online RStudio workspace, GitHUB organizations, and a variety of modules designed to streamline data searching and visualization. ScheldeMonitor continues to evolve, aiming to foster sustainable development within the estuary ecosystem while engaging stakeholders with current and accessible information.
