## Description

Schickel Design, an architecture firm located in Cincinnati, has a rich history spanning three generations. Founded by William Schickel in 1948, the firm initially focused on liturgical design and artwork. Over the years, under the leadership of William's daughter, Martha Schickel Dorff, the company expanded its expertise to include historic adaptive reuse residential projects and experiential design for institutions.

In 2019, ownership of the business was passed down to Martha's daughter, Rebecca Dorff Cadena, ensuring the continuation of the family legacy. The firm stands on the shoulders of past generations, with J. William Schickel and Norbert Schickel being notable figures in the family line.

With design ingrained in their genes, Schickel Design is not the only family member involved in the industry. Other family members, such as Emil Robinson and Kristen Robinson, are also making their mark in the design community.

Schickel Design combines their deep-rooted tradition with modern expertise to deliver exceptional architectural solutions. Their portfolio showcases their skill in both historic preservation and innovative experiential design. Whether it's breathing new life into old structures or creating immersive spaces, Schickel Design is committed to shaping environments that inspire.
