## Description

Svenska Schipperke Ringen (SSR) is a Swedish breed club for people who own, breed or are interested in Schipperkes. The breed originated in Belgium and Flanders and is described by the club as a lively companion dog and a small, dependable watchdog. SSR supports the Schipperke community through information, activities and resources for owners and breeders.

The club provides guidance on the breed, breeding and health, including a relationship index to help breeders consider genetic diversity. It is updating the breed-specific breeding strategy and invites owners to share their views through surveys. SSR also collects information about epilepsy and offers resources on BPH and MH behavioural assessments; members may apply for reimbursement of BPH test fees. The club organises Schipperke meetups, breed-specialty events and other activities, and shares exhibition calendars, breeder listings, puppy information and advice for those planning a litter. Members can access club publications, meeting documents and a shop.
