## Description

The Ghana Scholarships Authority is the official government channel for administering scholarship opportunities for Ghanaians. Its mission is to widen access to education by supporting brilliant but financially needy students, strengthening participation in tertiary education, and developing skills that contribute to national progress. The Authority connects applicants with local tertiary support, national merit scholarships, foreign and bilateral awards, and district-level access and validation. Opportunities are announced through public notices that share deadlines, eligibility information, and application guidance.

Applicants can create an account on the official portal, complete their profile, upload required documents, take an aptitude assessment when required, and attend an interview through the relevant district or selection channel. The site also provides programme information, frequently asked questions, application preparation guidance, and a scholars database. Its process involves district validation and institutional confirmation, with published requirements guiding selection. The Authority advises applicants to use verified channels and beware of agents or unofficial payment requests promising placement. Based in Accra, it serves communities across Ghana’s 16 regions through district access points.
