## Description

The Schools for Health in Europe Network (SHE) is a dynamic non-profit organization established in 1991, initially supported by the World Health Organization (WHO). Since becoming an independent NGO in 2017, SHE has been hosted by University College South Denmark and co-funded by the European Union and WHO EURO. With 31 member countries across Europe and Central Asia, SHE aims to enhance the health of children and young people through comprehensive school health promotion initiatives.

The organization provides a European platform that fosters collaboration among national coordinators, regional members, and researchers dedicated to school health promotion. SHE offers a robust array of resources, including guidelines, assessment tools, and case studies to advance the implementation of health-promoting schools. The organization's vision is to establish the health-promoting school approach as a standard across all EU Member States, empowering schools to implement effective health strategies. By bridging the health, education, and social sectors, SHE supports a holistic framework for nurturing the well-being of children in educational settings.
