## Description

Trakehner Gestüt Schralling is a family-run horse-breeding stud in Burgkirchen, Upper Bavaria, founded in 1960 by Hans Ernst Wezel and run with his wife, Irene. Over six decades, the stud has focused on breeding Trakehner horses for both performance and sport, drawing on carefully planned pedigrees and bloodlines from Germany and Eastern Europe, including Russia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Its breeding program has produced 25 licensed stallions, with some horses achieving success at international level. Notable horses associated with Schralling include Schenkendorf, Peron, Inster Graditz, Lebenstraum and Lowelas. The stud’s website documents its breeding history, mares, foal presentations, stallion licensing and successful horses, and offers information about horses for sale and frozen semen. After 60 years of breeding, the stud announced that illness-related circumstances would require it to reduce its horse population, including its mares, young stock and breeding stallions.
