## Description

The Lemgoer Schützengesellschaft von 1575 e.V. is a historic, nonprofit shooting and community association in Lemgo, Germany, with roots dating back to 1575. With more than 1,300 members, it is one of the largest clubs in the Lippe shooting district. The society is organized into four companies, alongside its shooting sports club, youth department, women’s shooting group, and other sections.

Members and visitors can take part in shooting sports and train at the association’s modern, enclosed range, which supports most German Shooting Sport Federation rifle and pistol disciplines, with club-owned firearms available for practice. The society also maintains a marching band and offers information about its history, traditions, ranks, awards, and royal courts.

Community life centers on a four-day shooting festival held every two years, as well as a smaller annual gathering in alternate years. The association shares event dates and membership information and invites public support for renovations to its historic clubhouse. Its ground-floor hall is also available to rent.
