# Schutzschirm Schweiz

- **Website:** <https://schutzschirm.ch>
- **Primary alias:** `schutzschirm.ch`

## Description

Schutzschirm Schweiz is a Swiss advocacy campaign calling for the rapid development and funding of stronger air defences. It highlights the country’s vulnerability to threats from drones and missiles and argues that delays could leave residents, homes, critical infrastructure and the nation exposed. The campaign urges political leaders to act promptly, secure reliable delivery schedules for defence capabilities and strengthen Switzerland’s security resilience.

Its main offering is a public petition inviting people to press policymakers for an immediate “protective shield” for Swiss airspace. The campaign also shares news and facts explaining the perceived security gap and its proposed funding needs. It calls for an additional 4 billion Swiss francs in 2027 through a special procurement programme, followed by 10 billion francs over the medium term, and ultimately 40 billion francs to strengthen the armed forces in the air and on the ground. Visitors can support the petition online, share it through WhatsApp, and follow campaign updates on LinkedIn and Instagram.
