## Description

Schwimmen(tchen) is a swimming school led by Bernd Meyer, offering children a supportive, structured introduction to swimming at the Freizeitforum Marzahn. Its courses are designed for beginners aged five and older, and no prior swimming skills are required. Over ten weeks, children attend 45-minute sessions that build foundational skills step by step, with an emphasis on safe technique, confidence in the water, and enjoyable, play-based learning. The school also encourages teamwork and social interaction, and regularly checks each child’s progress. A make-up lesson may be available if a participant misses a session. The teaching team includes Bernd Meyer, who has more than ten years of experience as a children’s swimming trainer; Serhat, a sports teacher and qualified swimming and rescue trainer with extensive teaching experience; and JJ, who supports children and helps them feel at ease. Courses do not take place during Berlin school holidays or public holidays. Parents can register children online through the contact form and can direct questions to the team.
