## Description

Spinal Cord Injury BC (SCI BC) is a dedicated non-profit organization that supports individuals with spinal cord injuries and related disabilities. Founded in 1957, SCI BC serves over 2,800 British Columbians, providing essential resources and community experiences that empower them to adjust, adapt, and thrive. The organization offers a wide range of programs including peer support initiatives, health coaching, and accessible cycling opportunities. Additionally, SCI BC features an extensive online information database, ensuring access to over 800 comprehensive resources for individuals and families affected by spinal cord injuries.

With a focus on advocacy and support, SCI BC promotes independence through initiatives such as the Choice in Supports for Independent Living program and accessible travel resources. Members can also benefit from scholarships and bursaries offered through the BC Paraplegic Foundation. Committed to fostering an inclusive community, SCI BC engages in various fundraising and awareness activities while recognizing the traditional territories of Indigenous peoples in British Columbia. Join SCI BC to become a part of this vital network of support and empowerment.
