## Description

SciELO, which stands for Scientific Electronic Library Online, is an esteemed brand that offers a comprehensive collection of scientific journals and research articles. Established in 1998 and maintained by the Chilean National Agency for Research and Development (ANID), SciELO Chile aims to index, provide access to, and disseminate online the full texts of Chilean scientific journals across various fields of knowledge. These journals primarily publish research articles resulting from scientific investigations, which undergo rigorous peer review. SciELO Chile's collection prioritizes the inclusion of journals that demonstrate ongoing professionalization, internationalization, and sustainable funding models. The brand actively collaborates with systems like DATACIENCIA, the Portal del Investigador, LA Referencia, and the SciELO Citation Index (SCI). SciELO's initiative is a joint project between FAPESP and BIREME, with support from CNPq, and it aims to develop a common methodology for the preparation, storage, dissemination, and evaluation of electronic scientific literature. SciELO provides easy access to its collection of scientific journals, allowing users to search through an alphabetical or thematic list of titles, as well as advanced search options for articles based on authors, titles, subjects, and publication years. The brand also offers informative reports on bibliometrics and performance metrics for the SciELO network. With its commitment to open access and the advancement of scientific research, SciELO is a valuable resource for the academic community.
