## Description

Scientific Literacy Matters is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting scientific literacy and common sense in society. They believe that scientific literacy encompasses various forms of literacy, including written, numerical, and digital literacy, all of which are essential for understanding science, its methodology, observations, and theories. Their goal is to bring about a better world by creating more well-informed citizens. Scientific Literacy Matters covers a wide range of topics related to the universe and everything we encounter in it. Their website serves as a platform to highlight the beauty and importance of scientific literacy. By promoting understanding and knowledge, they aim to empower individuals to make informed decisions and contribute to the betterment of society. In the words of Carl Sagan, Frederick Douglass taught that literacy is the path from slavery to freedom. There are many kinds of slavery and many kinds of freedom, but reading is still the path. Join Scientific Literacy Matters in their mission to promote scientific literacy and help build a more informed and enlightened world.
