## Description

SCM Direct is a UK discretionary wealth management firm founded in 2009 by Alan and Gina Miller. Established in response to the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, the firm aims to improve investor outcomes through transparent, cost-conscious investing and long-term client relationships. Its founders invest alongside clients in the firm’s portfolios, on the same terms and fees.

SCM Direct offers professionally managed portfolios made up of carefully selected exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Investors can choose from eight risk-graded options, including an ethical ESG portfolio and portfolios focused on bonds, absolute returns and long-term growth. The firm manages investments on a discretionary basis, making day-to-day portfolio decisions for clients, who can view their investments through an online portal.

Available account types include Stocks and Shares ISAs, SIPPs, Junior ISAs and General Investment Accounts, with investments starting from £10,000. SCM Direct is FCA-regulated and promotes clear pricing: its typical total annual cost is 0.85%, including management, administration, custody, ETF and trading charges. Fees may vary by portfolio.
