## Description

SCOPE Zimbabwe is a permaculture-based organization working to advance sustainability education, ecological design and indigenous knowledge across Zimbabwe. Through community projects and practical learning, it helps schools, young people and local communities develop the skills to put agroecology and sustainable practices into action.

Its initiatives include Green Schools, which strengthens schools as learning and community advocacy centers, and Youth Promoting Agro-Ecology, which supports climate-friendly food growing. The Seeding Local Cultures project focuses on preserving indigenous knowledge and cultural practices linked to sustainability. SCOPE also promotes low-carbon lifestyles through workshops and activities at its Chitubu/Exaphozini demonstration center.

Located near Harare, Ecovillage@Chitubu is an off-grid permaculture center powered by 100% renewable energy. It offers training workshops and accommodation, and can host conferences and events. Its workshops help learners, educators and community members develop and implement permaculture and agroecology projects in schools and communities. Across its work, SCOPE Zimbabwe combines hands-on education with community collaboration to encourage resilient, sustainable ways of living.
