Scottish EDGE is Scotland's largest business funding competition, catering to startups, social enterprises, and charities. Their mission is to give entrepreneurs the EDGE by discovering, investing in, and nurturing their transformative ideas to build a stronger Scotland. With funding from the Hunter Foundation, the Royal Bank of Scotland, the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, and private donors, Scottish EDGE has supported over 569 early-stage Scottish businesses, providing them with more than £23m in award funding.

The competition is held twice a year and consists of four categories: Scottish EDGE, Social Enterprise EDGE, Young EDGE, and Wild Card EDGE. Additionally, there are five special awards within the Scottish EDGE category, including Net Zero EDGE, Circular Economy EDGE, STV Growth EDGE, and IBioIC EDGE.
