## Description

The Scottish International Education Trust (SIET) is a registered Scottish charity that helps exceptional young Scots access transformative international study and professional learning opportunities. For around fifty years, it has awarded grants to people seeking to develop their talents, learn from leading practitioners and institutions, and advance in their chosen fields. Support can help with the costs of studying overseas, including postgraduate education and experiences connected to disciplines such as history, visual arts, music, design, science, law, medicine and the caring professions.

SIET believes that international experiences can build skills, confidence and cultural understanding while connecting Scotland with the wider world. Its awards offer more than financial assistance: recipients describe gaining encouragement and momentum at pivotal stages in their careers. Alumni have gone on to contribute across music, science, journalism, law, research, education and other fields, using their abilities to benefit Scotland and beyond.

The Trust invites individuals and organisations to support its work through donations and partnerships.
