## Description

Scottish Young Musicians (SYM) is a prominent organization dedicated to nurturing the talents of young musicians across Scotland. Founded over two decades ago by brothers Alan and Brian Kerr, SYM has impacted the lives of more than 20,000 young artists through its various competitions, such as the Solo Performer of the Year and Ensemble of the Year. The organization operates under the umbrella of The Music Education Partnership Group (MEPG), a registered charity that strives to improve access to music education and empower young individuals to reach their full potential.

SYM's initiatives not only focus on competition but also on fostering personal growth and learning through participation. The organization is committed to celebrating music education and encouraging a supportive community among aspiring musicians. SYM offers various competitions, financial assistance, and resources to help young talents thrive, making it an invaluable asset to Scotland’s music scene. With the support of a dedicated team and community partners, SYM continues to inspire and cultivate the next generation of musicians.
