# Western Los Angeles County Council - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `scouting-la.org` ## Description The Western Los Angeles County Council (WLACC) is a Scouting America organization serving 65% of Los Angeles County and more than 10,000 Scouts. Its mission is to help young people make ethical and moral choices by teaching the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Through Scouting, youth can build character, confidence, self-reliance, leadership, teamwork, and community-mindedness while exploring the outdoors and taking on practical projects. WLACC offers programs for a range of ages and interests, including Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouts, and Explorers. Activities include weekly meetings, outdoor adventures, merit badge courses, leadership training, and high-adventure opportunities. The council also supports volunteers and local units with training, recruitment resources, and guidance. Families can find news, events, and program information through the council, and young people can join or participate in council activities. WLACC operates a Scout Shop in Van Nuys and a Trading Post in Newhall, selling Scouting supplies and products; proceeds support its nonprofit programs. The council also welcomes donations to help develop future community leaders. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Camping Scouting and Outdoors _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ - 🎗 Community and Society ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/scoutingla) - [instagram](https://instagram.com/scoutingla) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idiO_w9oTM/w/2048/h/454/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790547998928) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idiO_w9oTM/w/2048/h/2048/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790547999571) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Lochmara | #007cba | accent | | Crimson | #ce1226 | dark | | Alabaster | #f9f9f9 | light | ## Fonts - BioRhyme — asset _(google)_ - -apple-system — asset _(system)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
