## Description

Scriptly is a Discord-focused accessibility and communication tool that helps communities make voice channels easier for everyone to join. Its bot provides live speech-to-text captions, turning conversations into messages in a chosen text channel so members can follow along in real time. Users can also transcribe voice messages through Discord’s message context menu, including across direct messages, group chats, and servers when Scriptly is installed as a user app. For members without a microphone, Scriptly offers text-to-speech: type a message in a TTS channel or use the /tts command, and the bot reads it aloud in the voice channel.

Core captioning and text-to-speech features are free indefinitely. Premium plans add more than 300 voices and Ultra-Real-Time, word-by-word captions, with options for individuals and communities. Settings let server teams choose channels, languages, and other behavior. Scriptly says it serves more than 95,000 servers and is designed for situations where people are hard of hearing, unable to speak, or cannot listen to audio.
