## Description

SCVTV is a 501c3 nonprofit community service organization that operates the Santa Clarita Valley's public television channel, under contract with various educational and government agencies. They fund their television operations through private donations, grants, and local business support. With extensive coverage on cable and the internet, SCVTV reaches every corner of the Santa Clarita Valley. Their Media Center serves as the central hub for local businesses, schools, and organizations to connect with their target audience. SCVTV staff members and volunteers generate original, hyper-local content for the channel. They also own and operate SCVHistory.com, which is the community's history archive and online research library, and provide CougarNews.com for the COC Media Arts Department. In addition to television operations, SCVTV provides multimedia services to educational and government agencies, as well as to over 120 nonprofit organizations in the Santa Clarita Valley. Their online news center, SCVNews.com, offers local breaking news, sports, business, entertainment, and event coverage. SCVTV's websites, including SCVTV.com, SCVNews.com, and SCVHistory.com, form the largest local multimedia footprint in the area. With their commitment to serving the community, SCVTV plays a vital role in keeping the Santa Clarita Valley informed and connected.
