After Hurricane Hazel struck in 1954, the screened front porch was replaced with a cozy Florida Room, providing guests with a comfortable spot to enjoy the magnificent views of the Atlantic. As preferences shifted in the 1960s, the property was saved from demolition and transformed into a restaurant.
