## Description

Sebastian Tarek is an East London bespoke shoemaker who creates handmade footwear through a personal, collaborative process. Working independently, he oversees every stage, from taking the client’s first measurements to completing the final stitch. Each pair is designed around the wearer’s fit and preferences, making every commission distinctive. Tarek’s approach draws on a family tradition of shoemaking dating back to the early 1900s, alongside years of professional experience and a meticulous eye for detail. He aims to make shoes built to last, using carefully sourced materials from across the UK, including leather from some of the world’s oldest and most prestigious tanneries.

Educated at Cordwainers in London, Tarek has made shoes for several members of the West End Master Bootmakers’ Association and has served as a visiting lecturer on the Royal College of Art’s MA Footwear course. His collaborations include Duffy, Hostem and Toogood. Clients can contact him by email to arrange appointments or discuss bespoke commissions.
