## Description

Second Chance Comedy is a Denver-based initiative using stand-up comedy to foster understanding, healing, and connection around addiction and recovery. Its shows offer a sober, welcoming space where people in recovery and others can enjoy comedy, share perspectives, and feel part of a supportive community. The organization aims to raise awareness of addiction, reduce stigma, and help people move beyond the shame often associated with it. By bringing humor to difficult experiences, Second Chance Comedy believes laughter can offer comfort and bring light to challenging moments.

Alongside its community events, the initiative seeks to raise money for charities supporting people in need, including Sobriety House. Its website features upcoming shows, testimonials, videos, photos from past performances, and information about the comedians. Visitors can also submit to perform, book the show, sign up for event announcements, or donate. Audience feedback describes the events as thoughtful, enjoyable, and welcoming, with comedy that can encourage new insight into addiction while providing a safe place to have fun sober.
