## Description

DCAF Legal Databases is an online legal information resource focused on legislation governing Libya’s security sector. Part of DCAF’s work in Libya, the database provides access to more than 2,000 legal texts, including laws, decrees, resolutions, bylaws, judicial decisions and international agreements. Users can search the collection, apply filters, browse an index, review recently published laws and consult statistics about the materials held.

The database organises legislation by status, text type, issuing institution and subject area. Its thematic coverage includes constitutional and legislative frameworks, executive and judicial oversight, security and justice providers, decentralised administration, training and research institutions, independent oversight, transitional justice, accountability, transparency and international cooperation. The collection includes texts from a range of Libyan institutions and spans different periods, offering a structured way to explore the legal foundations of security and justice in the country. Some records are available only in Arabic, while selected entries include text or summaries in English.
