## Description

SEED Eating Disorder Support Services is a voluntary organization that provides support and empathy for people struggling with eating disorders. Established in 2000 in Hull, East Yorkshire, SEED has since become a registered charity in 2004. The organization is comprised of three co-founders, along with trustees, volunteers, and supporters. Former Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten serves as the manager and patron of the charity. SEED's primary goal is to ensure that individuals and their caregivers never feel alone in their struggles. They offer a safe and friendly environment through regular monthly meetings, inviting guest speakers for professional help and advice. In addition, SEED provides up-to-date information, book lists, and a book-sharing program to empower individuals to conduct their own research. The organization is dedicated to helping others receive professional help and achieve a full recovery from eating disorders. SEED actively welcomes volunteers and encourages those interested to get in touch.
