SEED Foundation is a women-led, local non-governmental organization based in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Their mission is to protect, empower, and support survivors of violence and individuals at risk. With a survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach, SEED offers a range of holistic services to their clients.
These services include case management, mental health and psychosocial support, legal assistance, cash aid, and shelter. They also provide education and training to frontline service providers in the region. Additionally, SEED actively engages in policy and advocacy work to strengthen laws, policies, and practices that promote human rights and dignity in the Kurdistan Region.
Led by Sherri Kraham Talabany as President and Executive Director, and Tanya Gilly Khailany as Vice President and Co-Founder, SEED is committed to creating a sustainable model for mental health and psychosocial service provision.
