## Description

Segmation is a brand that specializes in the art of pieceful imaging and offers a range of products and services for art enthusiasts. Originally founded in the early 1990s, Segmation started as a way to modernize the classic childhood activity of painting by numbers. Their first product, PhotoPat by Rainbow Scan, introduced color and number pattern technology, albeit in a rough form. However, it marked the beginning of Segmation's journey towards creating a refined and improved product. In 1998, Segmation made its debut with a Photoshop Plug-in marketed by Xaos Tools. This innovative tool allowed graphic artists to explore the simplicity and beauty hidden in their images by utilizing industry formats, palettes, and patterns. The introduction of centuries-old tessellation patterns further elevated Segmation's success. Continuing their commitment to providing an engaging art experience, Segmation developed an online activity called SegPlay, which enabled users to color patterns from their collection using an internet browser. This Java Applet gained immense popularity and became a go-to destination for art enthusiasts. Building upon their success, Segmation later introduced SegPlay PC, a computerized paint-by-numbers program for Windows desktop computers. With a strong dedication to blending technology with art, Segmation continues to inspire creativity and offer enjoyable art experiences for all.
