## Description

Seido Karate Central Queens is a community martial arts organization offering traditional Japanese karate training for children and adults in Queens, New York. Founded in New York City in 1976 by Kaicho Tadashi Nakamura, Seido Karate combines physical skills training with meditation intended to support spiritual and emotional well-being. The organization describes its schools as welcoming students from all walks of life and provides programs for people of different ages, fitness levels, and experience.

Beginners can join dedicated classes designed to help them learn gradually, safely, and confidently; no previous martial arts experience or high level of fitness is required. Classes are generally small, allowing students to progress at a pace suited to their abilities. Training is offered at community locations in Jamaica, including the Jamaica YMCA and Brooks Memorial United Methodist Church, with additional dojo locations listed across Queens and other areas. Seido’s broader network includes schools in multiple U.S. states and other countries, with its headquarters, Honbu, in New York City.
