## Description

**Brand Description: Seiva**

Seiva is a vibrant musical ensemble that celebrates the rich tapestry of Portuguese oral tradition, blending the essence of rural and urban life through enchanting performances. Founded in 2014 by musicians Vasco Ribeiro Casais and Joana Negrão, Seiva draws inspiration from traditional Portuguese songs, including work chants and spiritual hymns, particularly focusing on the influential narratives of women, referred to as "Senhoras." The band combines traditional instruments like the viola braguesa and cavaquinho with modern electronic elements, creating a unique sound that transcends borders.

Their debut single "Dura de Roer" gained international acclaim, supporting performances at festivals across Europe. With a discography that includes their latest release, "Murmúrios e Outros Rumores," Seiva has established itself as a refreshing force in the folk music scene. The group infuses traditional melodies with contemporary flair, reaching diverse audiences while honoring their cultural heritage. Seiva continues to innovate, ensuring the vibrancy of Portuguese folk music resonates in today’s world.
