## Description

Seizan Karate-Do Sportegyesület is a community-focused karate club based in Szigethalom, Hungary, active in the area since 1991. It teaches both the practical and philosophical aspects of karate to children, young people and adults, with training for beginners, returning students and advanced practitioners. Sessions are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the Széchenyi István Primary School in Szigethalom.

The club emphasizes recreation and participation rather than judging members by medals or competition results. Its approach places discipline, respect, self-awareness, healthy living and mutual support at the heart of training. Seizan also works to make karate accessible to people with disabilities and other support needs, and promotes acceptance and inclusion within its community. Its activities include local events and competitions, including the Halom Cup, while competitive karate remains an option for members who wish to pursue it. Over the years, club athletes have earned competition results and some have joined Hungary’s national team framework.
