## Description

Sekunda pre život is a Slovak civic association and patient organisation bringing together people affected by stroke. Its work focuses on raising awareness of cerebrovascular disease, supporting life after a stroke, and sharing information that can help patients and their families navigate recovery. The organisation’s website provides guidance on returning to everyday life, rehabilitation, social support, psychological wellbeing, prevention, and issues such as incontinence and pressure sores. It also explains atrial fibrillation, including risk factors, diagnosis, treatment options, and its connection with stroke, and features patient stories.

Sekunda pre život promotes public education through campaigns including Čas je mozog (Time Is Brain), Od srdca k srdcu (From Heart to Heart), and Fast Heroes. Visitors can learn about the association’s activities, read media coverage, and access downloadable information and organisational documents. The group works with professional organisations and invites supporters to contribute through financial donations. Based in Chorvátsky Grob, Slovakia, Sekunda pre život offers a resource for patients, families, and others seeking information about stroke, heart rhythm disorders, prevention, and recovery.
