## Description

SELECT is Scotland’s Electrical Trade Association and the country’s largest construction trade association. Serving the electrical industry since 1900, it represents electrical contracting businesses and works to promote high-quality, safe work using modern technology. SELECT supports its members with practical advice, training, resources and industry representation, helping businesses develop and operate effectively.

Member benefits include access to a technical helpline, employment advice, business support, health and safety guidance, free resources and discounted products. SELECT also offers comprehensive training in technical and managerial skills, with members able to book courses at reduced rates. Its online training options include courses such as asbestos awareness and electrical industry requirements.

The association provides opportunities to find a member company and apply to join through several membership routes, including a probationary scheme. SELECT also shares industry news, publications, events and information about its work, partners and initiatives. Through its services and advocacy, it supports electrical contractors and the wider industry, including efforts to advance regulation and recognition of the electrician’s role in Scotland.
