# SEMF - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `semf.ca` ## Description The Southeastern Manitoba Festival is a regional performing arts festival that gives amateur musicians and speech performers opportunities to share their work, develop their skills, and receive recognition. Each year, it welcomes more than 600 participants and presents hundreds of performances across choral, guitar, instrumental, musical theatre, piano, speech arts, strings, and vocal categories. Festival activities include performances, workshops, and adjudication by experts, alongside opportunities to compete for awards and trophies. Running for approximately 22 days, the festival also features Highlights Evenings that showcase notable performers, as well as Awards Nights. A special event, the Southeastern Stars Gala Celebration, invites trophy winners to perform and receive their awards, often presented by donors. The festival provides program addenda and entry forms for solo, ensemble, vocal group, speech arts, and choral participation, with information about dates, results, adjudicators, and trophy winners available through its website.
