## Description

SEMTA (Sociedad Española de Mecánica Teórica y Aplicada) is a renowned multidisciplinary scientific association. Their main objective is to connect professionals engaged in scientific and technical work across various fields of theoretical and applied mechanics, as well as related engineering sciences. SEMTA accomplishes this goal by organizing scientific and technical meetings, as well as participating in activities aimed at promoting the development of theoretical and applied mechanics as a branch of science and engineering. They also conduct dissemination and public engagement activities to make knowledge and research in theoretical and applied mechanics accessible to a wider society. SEMTA collaborates with local, national, and international administrations, as well as collectives, associations, and industrial sectors interested in projects and programs related to the theoretical and applied mechanics. They also cooperate with related national and international scientific societies, particularly the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IUTAM). While SEMTA's activities are primarily carried out in Spain, they may collaborate with scientific societies in other countries as well. With a capable and dedicated Governing Board led by President Pilar Ariza Moreno, SEMTA continues to advance the field of mechanics through their various initiatives.
