Society Empowerment Project (SEP) is a community-based organization dedicated to empowering youth and fostering community development through sports in the rural town of Oyugis and the surrounding Homa Bay County. SEP offers an array of programs focused on community development, agriculture, food security, and sports, including the Bundesliga Youth Ambassadors (BUYAs) and the SEP Under-16 Team. In addition, SEP conducts programs addressing health and education, such as sexual and reproductive health, menstrual health and hygiene, mental health, and water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH). Through its initiatives, SEP aims to combat high levels of HIV/AIDS infections, poverty, limited education opportunities, and food insecurity in the region. The organization has successfully implemented economic development programs and agriculture productivity initiatives, enriching the community and promoting economic peace-building.
