Service Dogs Alabama is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical and psychiatric assistance dogs to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities. They also specialize in training Facility Dogs, which are capable of intervening and disrupting behaviors in high-stress environments such as schools, courtrooms, and state departments. Founded in 2010 by Frances McGowin and Ashley Taylor, Service Dogs Alabama became an independent non-profit organization in 2015.

With at least 50 dogs in training at any given time, they are committed to changing lives through their canine companions. In addition to their training programs, Service Dogs Alabama also offers a variety of volunteer opportunities and accepts donations to support their mission.
