## Description

The Partnership for Public Service is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization working to make government more effective for the American people. It highlights the role of public servants, promotes understanding of their contributions and offers programs and resources related to government and civil service. Its flagship Service to America Medals, known as the Sammies, recognize exceptional career federal employees whose work improves public life. Since 2002, more than 800 people have been honored for achievements in areas including science and medicine, national security, public service delivery and community care. The organization shares honorees’ stories through award events, profiles and other resources, and invites the public to nominate candidates and learn about their impact. Its online initiatives include the FedSupport Hub, a centralized resource intended to support the civil service, as well as the AI Center for Government, Best Places to Work, Center for Presidential Transition and Go Government. The Partnership also offers email updates and opportunities to support its work through donations, helping bring attention to the value and impact of public service.
