## Description

Sessantamila vite da salvare Altomilanese ODV is a volunteer organisation working to prevent sudden cardiac death and make communities safer across the Alto Milanese area of Italy. Its mission is to give residents the equipment, knowledge and confidence to respond when someone suffers cardiac arrest. The organisation installs automated external defibrillators (DAEs) in schools, sports facilities and public places, and provides training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and lifesaving procedures for citizens, students, volunteers and businesses. Through its online DAE map, people can locate nearby devices, including those available around the clock. The association also runs courses and local events, including BLSD refresher training, and shares practical guidance on recognising an emergency, calling for help and performing chest compressions. Supporters can fund a new defibrillator, adopt a device to help cover maintenance and related training, or contribute through Italy’s 5×1000 tax designation. The organisation also highlights the 112 Where ARE U emergency app, which can transmit a caller’s location to emergency services.
