## Description

Seta-on, the nickname of the Setagaya Arts Foundation Music Project Department, is a cultural organization based in Setagaya, Tokyo. Established in April 2007, it aims to make a wide variety of musical expressions accessible to people from all walks of life in the local community. Its program brings together concerts and projects across genres, encouraging audiences to discover different styles and musical experiences.

Seta-on’s events include performances by the Setagaya Junior Orchestra, chamber music, vocal and choral concerts, and cross-genre collaborations. Featured programs range from the Discovery Setagaya Sounds series, which includes performances with the Tsugaru shamisen duo Yoshida Brothers, to Music Lounge concerts featuring a cappella jazz. The organization also presents a series planned by composer Shin-ichiro Ikebe, exploring connections between music and storytelling.

The Seta-on website shares concert announcements, event details, and schedules, and provides links for ticket purchases. Through its ongoing program, the department supports an active musical life in Setagaya and invites residents and visitors to experience live performance.
