Their primary mission is citizen diplomacy, seeking to build people-to-people understanding and relationships between the two cities. SFBangalore focuses on various aspects essential for urban development, including Cross Border Entrepreneurship, Arts & Culture, Health Care, Infrastructure, Energy, Transportation, Water, Waste Management, Trade & Tourism, and Women Entrepreneurship.

They inform, connect, facilitate, and execute programs to strengthen business, political, and diplomatic relationships between the San Francisco Bay Area and Bangalore/India. The organization is supported by an esteemed team of honorary board members, board of directors, and committee members from both San Francisco and Bangalore.
