## Description

The Society for the Furtherance of Critical Philosophy (SFCP) is dedicated to promoting independent critical thinking grounded in the transformative Socratic tradition. With a strong international focus, SFCP engages in dialogue surrounding ethical issues and the complexities of personal and public life. Their offerings include Socratic seminars tailored for various audiences, including students, teachers, and educational managers, emphasizing the Socratic method as a vital educational tool. SFCP also sponsors scholarly research at both doctoral and post-doctoral levels and provides training for new Socratic facilitators.

In addition to hosting weekend dialogues and publishing works such as the Occasional Working Papers in Ethics and Critical Philosophy, SFCP fosters connections across Europe to share insights in critical philosophy. Collaborative efforts with sister organizations like the Philosophical-Political Academy and the Society of Socratic Facilitators enhance their impact through international conferences and training courses. SFCP is committed to nurturing ethical practices, making it a pivotal organization in the landscape of modern philosophical education.
