## Description

Santa Fe Fat Tire Society is a community organization for mountain biking enthusiasts in Santa Fe, bringing riders together to enjoy local trails and support their long-term care. Its mission is to build an inclusive, supportive mountain biking community through camaraderie, education, responsible riding, and stewardship. The Society contributes to trail maintenance, preservation, and growth, and offers members and visitors opportunities to participate through group rides, volunteer trail work, and community events.

Its activities include a rides calendar, youth rides for riders aged 13 and under, and girls’ rides for ages 11–17. The organization also hosts the 6 Hours in the Basin race and shares trail conditions, weather-station information, maintenance request resources, and updates on adaptive trail projects, including La Tierra Adaptive Trails. News and newsletters keep the community informed about trail developments, events, and local riding initiatives. Riders can join the Society, sign a waiver before participating in rides, subscribe to mailing lists, or share suggestions with its board.
