## Description

The Sailplane Grand Prix (SGP) is a premier international gliding competition that has revolutionized the world of sailplane racing since its inception in 2001. With a format that features thrilling races over closed courses ranging from 200 to 300 kilometers, the SGP attracts elite pilots who showcase their skills in navigating and harnessing the natural energy currents of the atmosphere. Each race typically spans five to six days, allowing competitors to experience variable weather conditions while vying for top positions.

Participants set off from a 5-kilometer start line, with the ultimate goal of crossing the finish line first through strategic aerial maneuvers and energy utilization. SGP not only focuses on the excitement of high-speed races but also embodies the spirit of soaring flight, where pilots engage in an intellectual challenge of seeking thermals and maintaining altitude.

As the series progresses, the SGP continues to attract a global audience and partners, with future events planned into 2028, including the much-anticipated World Final in Chile. Join the thrill of gliding and experience the freedom of soaring!
