# SGVRCL - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `sgvrcl.com` ## Description The San Gabriel Valley Radio Control League (SGVRCL) is a vibrant community of enthusiasts dedicated to the art of radio-controlled modeling. Established in 1961 in Southern California, the club originated from the efforts of local modelers seeking a space to flight test their creations. With the support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, SGVRCL found its home near the Whittier Narrows Dam, where it rapidly developed into a collaborative hub for flying. Today, SGVRCL hosts a wide array of events, including pattern contests, fun fly events, and Quickie 500 races, fostering camaraderie among members both old and new. The club is also dedicated to promoting the joys of model aviation through newsletters and social media engagement. With an active roster of officers and a commitment to community outreach, including events like Toys for Kids, SGVRCL stands as a beacon for model flying enthusiasts. Join them for action-packed events or subscribe to their newsletter to stay informed about the latest activities and developments in the world of radio control. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Models _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/SGVRCL) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idhGQOh3xv/w/250/h/250/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1728827298861) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idhGQOh3xv/w/600/h/600/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1728827299047) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Hippie Green | #468847 | accent | | Russet | #7b4b1b | dark | | Tan Hide | #fb9351 | light | ## Fonts - var(--tec-font-family-sans-serif) — asset _(custom)_ - Open Sans — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
