## Description

Shane Hryhorec is an Australian advocate, entrepreneur and community leader working to make society more inclusive. As a C5 incomplete quadriplegic, he understands many of the barriers faced by people with disabilities, and his work aims to reduce exclusion through education, advocacy and collaboration. He promotes better public access, mobility support and awareness of inclusion needs, while building partnerships across government and commercial sectors.

In 2013, Shane founded Push Mobility, a disability equipment provider offering functional, affordable products that help people participate in their communities. The company has grown into one of Australia’s leading manual wheelchair providers. His passion for swimming and the beach also inspired Accessible Beaches Australia, a nonprofit established in 2016 to improve beach access for people with disabilities. Its projects have helped make more than 60 Australian beaches accessible.

Shane’s recent project, co-able, is an accessible health and wellness destination in Port Adelaide. The hub brings together allied health providers, employment services, an accessible gym and inclusive workspaces, designed with accessibility at the heart of the environment.
