# Shards

- **Website:** <https://shards.market>
- **Primary alias:** `shards.market`

## Description

Shards is a token launchpad and market data platform operating on the NEAR mainnet. It gives users a place to explore tokens and view information such as price, progress toward graduation, holder numbers, and trading volume. The platform also provides tools to create tokens and connect a wallet, alongside sections for token bridging and real-world assets (RWA). Users can search tokens and choose to display values in NEAR or US dollars, although NEAR pricing may be temporarily unavailable and market data can lag behind the blockchain by a few seconds.

Shards describes its software as experimental and non-custodial: it does not hold users’ assets and is provided as-is, without warranties. Tokens can be created by anyone and are not vetted by Shards, so users may lose their entire investment. The platform states that its information is not investment advice and asks users to accept the risks associated with using the software.
