## Description

SHARE-ERIC coordinates the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE), a major European social science research infrastructure and longitudinal panel study. It collects information from people aged 50 and over across 28 countries, supporting research into how health, social, economic and environmental policies shape lives over time. The study’s data cover health and biomarkers, employment, cognition, social networks and economic circumstances. With more than 175,000 respondents and 690,000 interviews reported, SHARE provides researchers with extensive evidence for cross-country and long-term analysis.

SHARE offers free data access to non-commercial researchers studying socioeconomic conditions, alongside documentation, data access guidance, FAQs and accompanying datasets. Its website also provides research results, publications, working papers, first-results books, user statistics and information about the project’s scientific and policy impact. SHARE-ERIC works with country teams throughout Europe and an international network of sister surveys, while the SHARE Berlin Institute serves as its international coordination centre. The organisation also shares updates on data releases, research findings, events and workshops through its news channels and newsletters.
