## Description

The Shawn Mendes Foundation is a charitable initiative dedicated to amplifying, empowering, and uplifting young changemakers, the organizations they support, and the work they do. Its mission is to inspire young people to take action by providing a learning platform and direct support for causes they care about. The foundation’s Wonder Grants help young activists and creatives with promising ideas but limited resources launch or complete projects that benefit others. Supported fields include music, film, human rights, education, science, the environment, and technology. Grant amounts vary, and awards are made regularly in response to emerging needs. The program does not accept applications; a global network of experts and community leaders identifies potential recipients, who are contacted directly. The foundation also works with nonprofit, corporate, and other supporting partners, and invites donations from supporters in the United States and Canada. Its website offers updates about its impact, timeline, partners, and grant program. The Shawn Mendes Foundation operates as a sponsored program of the Social Impact Fund, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
